# What are Hunting Seasons?

Users participate in Hunting Seasons by staking their Pixelmon Gen1 and Trainer NFTs.\

Hunting Seasons are launched monthly and each Hunting Season lasts 4 months.\
\
Hunting Season Breakdown,

* Start of Hunting Season = Accumulation Phase:\
  Lasts for 1 calendar month. $MON is unlocked during this period.
* Drip Phase:\
  Lasts for 20 days. $MON unlocked from accumulation phase is now claimable.
* Grace Period:\
  Lasts for \~2 calendar months. Unclaimed $MON for that season goes directly into the Super Season rewards pool.
